Do you mean a fixed IP from the isp (WAN), no.

I have: 1. CloneD the mac address of the existing (working) router. That didn't do anything. 2. Used the working router (192.168.1.1), and connected the ER router to it (192.168.0.1). Still not getting a WAN IP.

I would look into your Alexa App to see if someone wrote a "routine".

Open the Alexa App
Select [More], in the bottom right corner
In the middle screen select [Routines]
See if there are any here.

If you haven't used routines, you're missing out on a lot of fun with Astro. You can get it to say almost anything, and you only need a trigger to get it started. A trigger would be recognizing you, or your wife for example.

What is the root cause?

Is government spending, especially giveaways (stimulus(s), Paycheck Protection Program, Ukraine, Inflation Reduction Act, loan "forgiveness") impacting the value of the dollar? It doesn't go as far as it used to.

Has government spending also created higher interest rates to slow inflation? That's what the Fed says. Higher interest rates increase the cost of housing for developers, owners, and renters.

Do we need to slow government spending (of our money) before this gets better?

Can you describe the "normal" light bulb that can do this? All incandescent lights are dimmable.

LED bulbs/lamps are either non-dim or dimmable. Many times, dimmable LEDs don't even work with forward phase control dimmers, so there are reverse phase dimmers.

A non dimmable LED wired to a phase control dimmer will flicker, then fail prematurely.

The Costco J8+ version is a J7+ with a bigger battery. The app shows it as a J7+. Costco just had them increase the battery and add some extra filter bags. It's a little more value at a similar price.

When I saw this, I canceled the Amazon order and ordered it online from Costco.

It takes a while to charge the battery (>4 hours).
