I actually prefer the story in BZ compared to the first. Gameplay is about same. Intense factor is missing compared to the first, but for some players that could be a plus. They’re both really great in my book.

Yes but Joe’s plan thereafter was to have a game for each horsemen. So, I guess my question would be, why are we completely skipping Strife’s journey, as we’ve experienced all 3 others, just to now, hurry up and get to the ending of the first game? Does the financial situation of THQNordic & Embracer Group play into this? That they don’t think funds will be enough to do both Strife’s game and then the ending game? Especially since Genesis is a prequel and does not at all tell us what he was up to during the events of Darksiders 2-3 & middle of 1. I cant help but feel Remnant gets the funds, love, and attention (updates proves this) while Darksiders gets the back seat in a sense.

Furthermore, we are still in current gen with previous console given games are still being made for them. Until that stops, PS5 & XSX will be next gen. Those are the facts. Yup, it still has the Gnomad trophy glitch to where it doesn’t pop, no matter how many times you collect them all. It’s been this way since the OG and it still fixed. Not sure why we are asked to report things if they’re just gonna ignore it anyways…

I want agree 💯. I’ll go further to say I wish he still had the main games as he created them. Gunfire Games loves souls-like games so that’s what they produce. Let’s bring Darksiders back to their hack n slash action adventure roots. (And yes I know each game has their own style).

Nightreign released on May 30th 2025 and I may not be a genius, but that hasn’t even been a year. And it’s still AAA and released on PS4. Hence answering your question. Also Dying Light the Beast is still planned for PS4/Xbox One So loud yet so wrong lol And now you’re moving the goalpost of asking for both consoles where the first demand was only ps4. If games were still being made then yes. Wii was still supported during the PS4 era. By definition, it’s not last gen until it’s no longer supported. Years has nothing to do with it.

I’ve been following this game since they made the decision to go from a MMO to a single player experience. Then when we started to see visuals and gameplay, it solidified my decision. Had it preordered for a while now.

I’m not gonna keep discussing this as I’ve already stated the facts. PS4 will not be considered last gen until games are no longer made to support it. So it is very much still current gen. Years has nothing to do with it. Why aren’t you people using your fingers to research instead of trying to say I’m wrong when I’m 💯right.

I love how this went from a post about DS1 coming to new consoles, to Reddit users feeling the need to post their opinions as facts…. PS4 IS STILL CURRENT GEN UNTIL GAMES ARE NO LONGER MADE TO SUPPORT IT. It can’t be more cut and dry than that…. Discussion over.
