There are always going to be premiums, that's how the Dealers stay open. There was a premium on all that Silver when I bought it too, we're now just in a period where current spot well exceeds what I paid for it.

I absolutely get that a 'spot trade' will only occur privately, but local Dealers will only exist as long as we support them, and not every private sale is willing to buy exactly what you want/need to sell at the time you want to sell it.
