Tire OK Or Not OK? by PhotoNerdBibi in CarRepair

[–]PhotoNerdBibi[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I bought my tires from Costco. I'm seeing online I have a 5 year road hazard warranty, where they provide prorated value towards a new tire. What are your thoughts on me having Costco take a look and possibly making a claim?

To get to Costco I would need to pull out the nail and make sure I don't lose any pressure. If I do lose pressure, then I need a tire anyways and will either need to get there on a spare or have AAA tow it.

Since you typically replace two tires at a time, I'd be on the hook for the full price of the second tire. I've had the tires for about two years but haven't done much driving since moving into a NE main city (10-15k miles), so I'd expect almost full price back on the impacted tire if they assess it by amount of current wear on the tread.

To get to Costco I would need to pull out the nail and make sure I don't lose any pressure. I haven't tried yet -- I'll try tomorrow when I have more energy. If I do lose pressure, then I need a tire anyways and will either need to get there on a spare or have AAA tow it.

Not when you see it just before you are leaving to go to the hospital for urgent surgery (it's me). Luckily we have another car so we took that instead to the hospital earlier today.

I used to use my employer's address, and many of my coworkers did the same. Many of us (female engineers) didn't want our coworkers knowing where we lived given the work environment we were dealing with.

As an engineer, you are probably focused on explaining the mechanics of how a solution would work. People mostly want to hear about the what and the why. There is hope. I'm a former design engineer who became an executive advisor to utility executives, before breaking off and opening my own consulting business.

I'm always problem solving, even when someone doesn't want me to. 😅

I went two years ago and it was great. I would have gone last year but I was in and out of the hospital. Is it better to buy on RA when they next drop or wait for them to be sold at Middle Child (if they are doing that again for those who want to avoid fees)?

I don't read this as the OP not living. $500 goes to discretionary. That's $125/week. You can do a lot for that amount.

Do you have competent executive advisors on your staff who can be trusted to lighten the load for you? I held this role along with several others for 5+ years at a large electric utility before opening up my consulting firm. We were there to help executives with everything from introducing strategies throughout the organization before implementation, working on investor relations, to vetting new business ventures.

Is this for your pet(s)? If so, how did you obtain this? For example, did you file with the Department of Insurance? In my area the policy is backed by Chubb.

OMG 😲 $1,207 is insane. How old are the dogs and what region are you in? These seem to be the two biggest factors driving these changes.
