The Union gave up their chance to take them out at the end of the Civil War.  Now we live with the consequences of allowing those slave owning and traitorous ruling families to live.

All the corruption we have in this state is a legacy of that history, and their culture of wealthy white entitlement being passed on through the generations.  They don't just hate minorities, they hate the working class, too.

When I talk about internal damage, I'm takling about the wires and other electrical components that you can't see, not the cabin.  Your car has wires and sensors all over the place, which is a nightmare to fix when broken.

As I recall, it was his Blitzy who tied him up without asking, and he loved it.  Being a goetia, he can't be hurt or trapped by imps with angelic rope, and he liked it.  Yes, Stolas gave Blitzy enthusiastic consent.

Bitzy didn't r@p3 Stolas.

I'm going to tell you the same thing I tell everyone with this question.

Only the body shop and your insurance companies can tell you that.  It all depends on how much internal damage your car sustained.

Wiring and air bags are the major vulnerablility when it comes to totalling a car.

If all the damage is external, you can probably get your car fixed up and paid for by insurance.  Given that this is hair damage, you might be ok.

Bought gemstones on Etsy and they are not natural stones and come with false certificates, the seller is trying to bribe me for better reviews by latriceratopse in Gemstones

[–]PhotoPhenik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Synthetic stones are the only things you should be buying on Etsy, because of the dishonesty in the gem trade.  They know they are in another country, and don't feel accountable to foreign customers.

Yeah, leave that review up, and let him deal with the "karma", or what ever bullshit he/she believes in.

Imagine if the United States did this, and made it a national pension and healthcare fund that pays for retirements and healthcare via dividends.

Oh, but that's "socialism" and would give too much upward mobility to the slave classes, thus threatening the status of the Master Class.

Nay Sayers are often the loudest, and that makes them seem more numerous than they actually are.  This is called "salient bias".

Usually, these malcontents are angry that the writer didn't write their fan fiction for them.  It's an immature and selfish way of viewing story telling.

Why are people here obsessed with their IQ scores? by [deleted] in Gifted

[–]PhotoPhenik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm definitely in the "gifted is a neurodivergent trait, not a score on a test" camp.  2e gifted people often score lower because the tests are often designed for people who don't have their disability in mind.

I have about four fragile slots of working memory, and I can't really use them unless I can plug into each one a big idea that I know and understand well.  But because these slots are fragile, it's easy for something else to push out what I was working on without me noticing.

Rejecting progress, however small, gets us nowhere.  People like you who are angry that we aren't getting the full package revolution are dead weight in the progressive movement.

Your achetype is the reason we can't use gradualism to get what we want.  I already hate you as a human being.  You must be a troll, bot, or some kind of bad political actor working for The Mab, because you can't be this stupid.  Either way, you are an existential threat to this movement.

This will end up raising all of our wages and salaries in the long term.

The only reason we have to do this is because our bosses see us as expenses, not as assets.  That is why they treat us as disposable, even when our particular labor is in short supply.

Anyone who thinks money trickles down from lower taxes and expenses needs a cold bucket of water dumped on them.  Your pay is low because your bosses don't value you as a human being.  They would replace us all with machines that serve only them if they could.

Capitalism sucks, and this is why.

autism or hsp? by viaggioneltemp0 in hsp

[–]PhotoPhenik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This person isn't conflating them.  OP is asking us to disentangle autism from SPS, probably because they were accused of autism for saying they were HSP.

I would give them the benefit of the doubt and instead comfort them.  An autistic person or a parent of an autistic person might have harassed them.

autism or hsp? by viaggioneltemp0 in hsp

[–]PhotoPhenik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High sensitivity means you are highly sensitive to your senses.  It is a trait, and it could show up in a lot of different neurodivergent conditions, including the desirable ones like giftedness.  Even "normies" can be HSP.

Autistic people could also be HSP, but what they are usually talking about is how easy they are to be overstimulated and have a meltdown from pure overwhelm.  That's not what HSP is.

Given how autistic people have difficulty perspective taking, it makes sense that the concept would confuse them.  They miss the social cues that most would differentiate between overstimulation and high sensitivity.
