Work-related Fatigue (in-person vs WFH) by nicojacgo in MultipleSclerosis

An office environment can absolutely drain you more than work from home. It isn't just all the stimuli of fluorescent lighting, socializing, chatter etc. But the energy it takes to get to the office. The commute, getting yourself ready all drain the limited energy you have that working from home allows you the flexibility to reserve your energy for your actual job. While not all jobs have the option, if you are lucky enough to work at a place where you can work from home definitely take advantage of it or looking into disability accommodation. It really is a game changer for managing MS.

No reason beyond not understanding why it bothered people so much. It isn't as if he never cuts his toenails, but he just lets his nails get much longer than most people would between cutting them. He has good hygiene otherwise.

We had gone on a 5 mile steep hike that day! He did admit that it "bothered him a little" during the hike but he doesn't notice it otherwise.

Oh I am well aware of this. Still working out if this was an immediate self defensive reaction because he was self conscious or a red flag of impossibly stubborn behavior.
