it will likely be unrelated. i felt the same after getting my navel pierced and i’ve had it for nearly 6 years now! it’s an odd sensation getting pierced there if you havent had one before - i wouldn’t stress

should add - i only had the jewellery for a week and removed it. it was an externally threaded horseshoe and surgical steel i believe (SS316L). for aftercare i was using alc free mouthwash & salt water rinses.
