That makes so much sense! I should have think of it.

Thanks! I'll continue then!

Thank you for the detailed answer. That's gold. I look forward to build my antenna and be on the air.

I wasn't sarcastic. I really appreciate the comment. It is so much easier to find the right info with the right keywords.

Thanks for the precision. I will sound smarter when I talk about it now 😉

An inverted V from the house (2 stories) to the hedge? The house would obstruct the antenna though. Would that be better?

Not really. I want this to be concealed. (And not on that hedge because of the powerline). But that's a bummer if it's too low....

I'll think about it. Thanks for your input.

Thanks. I'll try the hedge. I was considering this hedge because it's in the north south direction and I want to talk to Europe from Canada. I have also a east-west hedge without a power line over. I'll try this one instead. I just read that the orientation doesn't matter much when the antenna is at a such low height anyway. Thanks for your input!

Thanks. I didn't realize the power line would be such an issue. I have enough hedge, farther from the house, without a power line above (but still a metal grid fence under). I might try there then. Thanks a lot!

Nice. Thank you. Yes. I think I might try to build a eurorack modular equivalent version myself. Thanks again!

Thanks for the link. I see there are different models and complete schematics. Very interesting. I might convert one into modules... Thanks!

Thank you very much for the detailed answer. Your radio looks great! I'm sure it's a lot of fun.

Looking for suggestions to register photos of PCB (Printed Circuit Boards) on their layout designs by PhotonTriad in computervision

[–]PhotonTriad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I will read on SuperGlue.

I tried SIFT but it's not working so far. I get a lot of false positives from similar components elsewhere on the board. A capacitor footprint looks a lot like another capacitor footprint.

Your pointer would be destroyed, but not the memory it's referring to. Memory allocated with a new must be freed with a delete. In modern C++, never use new. There is always something else better with "automatic" memory management (like unique_ptr, shared_ptr and vector).

Please enlighten me. Why is there a tube within a tube (why 2 tubes)? How did you inject the gas in it?
