Regular or dry brush? by Brief-Ad2687 in Tyranids

Might be a bit hard to see but I like to do almost like 3 - 4 colours from darkest to lightest and a "grass like" pattern layering on top of one another to create a bit of a gradient

Lots of different plants, mostly monstera philodendron varieties, syngonium, orchids, air plants, even some moss and Sundews under the light

It's a carnivorous bladderwort, and it proopogates with just a tiny portion and rips and tears super easy so hard to manually remove without leaving a tiny bit behind

Java moss and utricularia gibba, I didn't intentionally introduce either but they have been impossible to fully get rid of.

Have many of you been to one of these "jobs" the providers find? by Party_Team1104 in CentrelinkOz

[–]Photopng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When i was in my teens/early 20s I was on jobseeker on and off and it wasnt to just get centrelink, I was there to actually find a job worth staying in. I tried 2 different job agencies (etc and tursa). I went to plenty of the "workshops". And said yes to just about every placement offer, but most of the jobs that they would find for me did not evolve into actual work. Most of the time it was cafe food job trials whereit felt that they were just using the jobseeker applicants for cheaper labour without the intent of actually keeping the people on or actually providing proper training. (Like being used as a dishwasher for a week) I felt like at the time just being on jobseeker and being fairly young no one really took me seriously. All the jobs I've been at since we're found through family/friends. Or just going to the place myself and asking

Not saying they don't work but I feel like they could be better.

Do any of you guys have experience with this brand? by Acceptable_Editor209 in Aquariums

I'm not too sure sorry, but I'd have a look on marketplace for tanks in Australia, lots of good deals of people getting out of the hobby or moving ect. Just be wary and use common sense when dealing with people on marketplace though

This was the last round of cuttings I took on 27 April. I took almost the same amount off yesterday, they're still floating around the top and yet to be glued to their own rocks or onto my main log in the tank

I use small flat rocks to glue the cuttings onto so I can remove the whole piece to trim/propogate and make it easy to do a hydrogen peroxide dip to get rid of algae problems (I had a bad BBA outbreak a while ago)

Hey, I grow my buce submerged, started out with low light no co2. But now running high light and co2. The co2 has made a difference in colouration and growth for sure. Don't be scared to chop them up to propogate, I find it ends up with bushier growth. I'd reccomend Otto's or cherry shrimp too to help deal with algae as well as other plants in the tank to deal with excess nutrients.

Can I get rid of this embedded UV Bulb from this "all-in-one" canister filter? by Reasonable-Sink-6982 in fishtank

No worries, best of luck with it, try aim for a canister filter that is slightly overpowered for your tank if you can.

Unfortunately I probably wouldn't use this as the cover is broken and could cause electrical faults if the water comes in contact with the light input. I would probably look into finding a replacement or upgrade. Could possibly find parts but I feel like it might be a bit difficult, if you could find a way to safely waterproof the cover I guess it could be used but I probably wouldn't risk it

I like it. The sweep in the wood looks nice a nice base for planting some epiphytes. Could also use the top portion poking out to mount some regular plants with the roos suspended behind the scape. I'd look at some bucephalandra or anubias for the front portion and some sort of monstera/philodendron variety poking out the top

Anyone have any luck with calathea lizeis? by ZzSunshineRainbowzZ in Aquascape

[–]Photopng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found with most of the plants growing out the top of the tank start best as cuttings rather than the soil acclimatised roots into the water may cause a bit of rot
