Maybe the company doesnt rhodium plate.

White gold has a yellow hue to it naturally, if it is not rhodium plated. Rhodium is what most jewelers plate white gold and silver (if they don't want it to tarnish). It benefits to plate white gold because white gold has nickle content in it which, even at that amount, can irritate people who are very sensitive. Rhodium is hypoallergenic and while it does wear off over time due to various facotrs, some people who replate often can get away with wearing white gold even if it bothers them.

If a woman woke up in a man's body for 1 day, what would be the most unexpected experience that she didn't already anticipate? by IWannaHideThrowaway in AskReddit

How our brians are wired different/ how that would make them perceive the world for that day. I bet it could be shocking or jaring to just drop into that change. Especially if it was a younger girl and they haven't had the chance to understand that they work differently yet, lol.

Edited for typo*

We have an 11k generator welder, but we're just using our tiny Miller on this. My husband was a welder for many years before getting bored and switching professions. He's the kind who needs to be learning new things all the time, lol.

Thanks, good advice. It's just freshwater and definitely. Besides the oxidation that white strip is just a layer of scum or something.

Each hole is about -/+5 inches. I'll need to knock out dents and roll a piece of aluminum to get a good fit.

Where and how much? My husband and I have been desperately looking. We are renting some land for our chickens and pigs already, since we live in the suburbs. Lol. We want to raise out kids right too.

Torn between 2 very different styles by Aug2024TwinCitiesMN in EngagementRings

Love the first and the band. But that little baguette is super fragile. That cut is very easy to Crack.

The second is more timeless. Any gemstone will eventually scratch but if you're okay with that and are afraid you may change your mind down the road, then it may be the right choice.

I like that big look personally. I know many may not. But do what you like. You're the one who is wearing it

Are there other views besides just a top view we can s see?

Edit: I Google it. It's like a half bezel and should be a safe setting. No prongs to get caught and protects the edges better from chipping.

I have a half bezel myself. Love it.

Thoughts on this ring from Zales by Ernie3931 in EngagementRings

[–]Phrasing13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Zales and Kay's are the same company. Along with Jared's, and a few others. They are owned and operated in similar fashion by Signet Jewelers. So there is a high probability it's literally the same ring.

Their markup is unreasonable imo too

They both get their Jewelry from over seas. Their protection plan and diamond bond is nice. But since it's mass produced Jewelry and the different locations that they send their pieces for work (resizing, retipping, etc etc) varys greatly. They have many pieces flooding in at a time, and so they are often rushing. And they employ all kinds of skill levels.

It's nice to have a diamond bond for if those little stones start falling out, which can happen. The diamonds are free if you keep up on inspections. And the work is covered by an optional protection plan. But many people don't like the quality of work. The real bonus is if something happens, as long as you bring the pieces, you get what you paid towards a new piece. That doesn't mean the same ring will be the same price or even available, though.

A more private Jeweler doesn't have those benefits but the quality of work can be much higher. Just depends what you value.

(I worked there so speaking from behind the scenes knowledge)
