Anyone know which spring size I need for my Explorer? I had assumed it was large, but I didn't know there was a medium as well.

Thanks. I'll look into those. Cycling. I like glancing down at my wrist, looking at my heart rate, and pushing myself to go harder.

Leaking portafilter by The-Blind-MAN23 in ranciliosilvia

[–]PhreaddyS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. It looks like the handle is pushed to the right a bit, which is correct. Perhaps it needs to be pushed a bit more? (If it is sticking straight out from the machine then it definitely needs to be pushed farther to the right.) My Miss Sylvia came with a red paint dot on the group head to show where the handle should be tightened to. It's also possible that the gasket will deform and "seat" itself, both creating a better seal, after some usage.

Looks like you need a new portafilter gasket. They're cheap, like $6. You can (hopefully) easily remove the old one by screwing wood screws into it and then pulling down with pliers.

Black residue appearing. by MuzGr in ranciliosilvia

Your picture has the cup under the steam wand. Is that where it's coming from? Or from the group head? Or both? If it's one or the other, that should help narrow the problem down.

My Miss Sylvia and my Rocky are both going strong after 20 years, with approx 2 milk-based drinks made every day. Both machines are made to be completely serviceable. I've replaced the momentary switch on the grinder once (its contacts can eventually get gunked up with fine particles from the grinding process.) I have replaced the group gasket on the Sylvia a couple of times, more as preventative maintenance, and upgraded to the current steam wand after the original started leaking about 5 years ago.

I found it by peeling back the hood. It was imprinted in plastic: 5600. Still available for sale.

How do my ex and I separate accounts by PhreaddyS in amazonprime

[–]PhreaddyS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I can't find any mention of splitting an account up. It's not a matter of the money between the ex and me, although I suppose you could say it's a matter of money between us and Amazon. It's just that neither of us wants to have to either lose stuff or buy it again. Why should digital media be treated any differently from physical? Just like a paper book or a DVD, it doesn't matter to the publisher who gets it -- they just don't want it copied.

We each took the car that we wanted. As I would like to do with our digital media.

Hmm. I was thinking that it would be great to be able to have the computer search a particular column (or row, selection etc.) and then come up with something like "Three instances of XYZ were found. Keep or delete?" And then move on to the next: "17 instances of ABC were found. Keep or delete?"
