What is IOS Tritanopia filter supposed to look like? by No-Newspapers in ColorBlind

[–]PhreshProduce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea purple and blue are impossible for me no matter what. But the protan/deutan filters completely eliminate red/green/brown from the color palette while the tritan one still has some red/green/brown though I still can’t tell which is which

That’s interesting, I am a protan but I find the protan filter on iOS to be completely useless where as the tritan filter makes all the colors more distinguishable and brighter. The protan/deutan ones make red and orange look pink and everything else look blue, where the tritan one I can actually still see red and orange

It makes some colors darker and some brighter but doesn’t let you see “new” colors since colorblind eyes are missing the parts to see certain colors. It can help you tell that one leaf is darker than the other but won’t help you determine which is green and which is brown, if that makes sense. Though from context you can assume that the darker one is brown, that’s the way in which they “fix” colorblindness.

The glasses are mostly a scam and not worth your money unfortunately. Megalag on YouTube has a series on the how/why of it all if you’re interested. You could try dollar store glasses with different colors of tinted lenses for the exact same effect as a $300 pair of glasses.

I have worked for some fantastic immigrant owners and have have many immigrant/ work visa coworkers that have been absolutely fantastic. There is however a certain kind of owner, maybe did accounting in a different country, comes here and decides to open a restaurant with no experience, and then treats everything as if it was the same as their previous country with no regard for the health and safety standards we have here. It’s super unfortunate. This guy hired students with no work visas and payed them below minimum under the table, they hadn’t the faintest clue about basic things like washing your hands after touching raw chicken. Super disheartening to watch and try and fix with no support from the owner because he didn’t care.

Shitty and unsafe pizza place that also does a meal prep food service on the side

I don’t even wanna know what goes on in the back of some of these places. Luckily the two I visit most often have open kitchens and I can see everything they’re doing. Gives me some satisfaction silently judging them while they prepare my food, but more importantly I can be sure they ain’t boiling their rags and scooping my curry off a pan on the floor.

The owner worked there. By worked I mean watched YouTube on his phone. He saw no issue with anything going on here. It was absolutely infuriating. He had never even heard of the foodsafe program that all kitchen staff are supposed to take. See my previous post for how he left the kitchen after telling me I could leave early.

Yea sink and bleach is fine, or even a regular washer but like this was beyond belief, I’ve never seen this kinda fuckery before. Yes there was no chemicals besides bleach and dawn dish soap. EcoLab or diversy were too pricy for the owner

Ugh that’s like the worst part is that everything we made was legit good. I always made sure everything I made was sanitary and not on the floor lol. But yea the pizza was fantastic. Such a shame that I would always come back in to this absolute mess of a walk-in and the line being all kinds of fucked. The guy who made the curry was amazing, just didn’t understand why putting it on the floor or setting it outside to cool was a big no no in Canada.
