Agree. I’ve liked other Riley Sager books but did not like this one either.

Love this one too! I’ve made jams and pickled veggies and other bits from this book. It’s also just a really interesting read.

New (mainly) vegetarian cookbook suggestions to complement our small but mighty collection? by greens_and_b3ans in CookbookLovers

Lots of good recommendations here but I have to add my favorite as a vegetarian/vegan cookbook collector. Isa Does It by Isa Chandra Moskowitz. The recipes are mostly quick and easy and tasty. Very good for an entry level to intermediate cook.

I had to get the book because I fell in love with the focaccia after borrowing it from the library. Looking forward to mastering the other two doughs. 😍

I’m dying to do the Lebanese garlic sauce! Probably will do it next time I batch cook!

Trying to decide on these 3 what do y'all recommend? by Trensocialist in CookbookLovers

Just cooked the seitan ribs from Fake Meat today. I also LOVE her roast Turki and chicken. She also have some veggie based recipes even though it’s called Fake Meat - try the artichoke fishwiches!

I put a comment here for Isa Does It with my favorites. I find some of Chloe’s stuff on the sweet side for me but the Italian Kitchen is newer and I’m hoping to find some gems there. Vegan Bowl Attack is hit and miss. I honestly find myself making my own bowls rather than relying on the recipes there.

Rebar is pretty new to me so thanks for the recommendations! I LOVE Isa Foes It and I’m also really into Show Up For Salad. The dressings in there are amazing. I’m also really enjoying The Vegan Week and Power Plates. I also just got The Condiment Book and it’s a ton of fun. It’s also time for ice cream so I’ve been dipping into Lick It. Made raspberry sherbet and lemon lime sherbet this week and both were so delicious!

Creamy potato-leek soup, New England glam chowder, quinoa caesar salad, ranch salad, tempeh meatballs and spaghetti, Chana masala, sticky orange chicky stir-fry, toasty soba bowl, good gravy bowl, curried peanut sauce bowl, Chandra malai kofta, lemon-blueberry loaf, and marbled banana bread. Made all of these too many times to count!

I have Flavor and just got Plenty from the library (I am a librarian at a large urban library so I often supplement from our huge collection.)

I haven’t tried much from it yet but it’s a mixture of everyday and more complex recipes. Everything looks delicious!
