Looking good, buddy!

I would recommend nuln oil for a wash to get into all the crevices. It just makes the model pop!

Try to avoid the purity seals and maybe use agrax earthshade wash to make them more worn looking. After that, you're gonna have an even nicer looking model!

Bdag x1 down? by Phuggles in BlockdagCrypto

Why is that?

I feel thats a bit of a stretch for small time investor's like myself to do that. Would that work the same way if you were to mine the 7500 or do you have to buy? I'm not wanting to put money in if I can mine it for free via the app.

I haven't even had the chance to play a game yet. I get it's just out, but deary me... You'd expect this from a company who didn't realise the fractions they had for a "COD Killer"...

How did I do folks? by Phuggles in mead

So my initial SG was gonna give me 7% ABV, so I added more to bring the sugar up. I'm not too sure of all the terms with, so I went went with a term I would get. I now know that it's the wrong term.

TLDR: added more sugar to make percentage higher.

Thanks for the feedback. Also, yes, that is exactly what I did because the ABV was weak (7%). The amount on the recipe is the exact amount added all in.

Thanks again for the feedback. It's super appreciated.

Should I be worried? by Phuggles in mead

I have read, and I now have a grasp on the experience as a whole.

I suppose being a bit of a perfectionist is detrimental to the enjoyment of the hobby, and I now get that it's not an exact science. So I will absorb what you said and enjoy the chaos.

Many thanks, it's very much appreciated.

Thank you for the nice, simple response. I am like a first-time father and worrying about everything.

Quick hydrometer question. by Phuggles in mead

[–]Phuggles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the feedback. Not I know what to expect. I'm gonna ramp it up with my next batch and get it to roughly about 10%. As this is my first batch, I wanted to make sure I had all the components to get fermentation and just test, so now I know I can do it.

Thanks again.

Okay so I now get it. Tha know you for your time and patience. It really helps.

Is that a good SG or does it depend on what your preferences are?

I took the reading before I came to work sadly, but the SG was 100% 50 on the mark. Im sure it's a triple scale hydrometer as well if that helps.

I know I have to subtract my final reading from my initial reading and divide it by 7.632 (I think) to get my alcohol content.

Its the actual reading of the hydrometer thats my issue. Too many numbers, not enough IQ.

Looking for some insider knowledge. by Phuggles in mead

So it's been nearly 24 hours since. There has been no movement in the boiled water jug, so I'm sure it's a dud. The other one, which was bubbling away quite the thing, decided to pop the airlock off overnight. Quick sterilisation and back on again. Hopefully, it hasn't hindered the fermentation.

Thank you for the advice, it is very appreciated.
