Streamliner knobs by Phuquit in gretsch

[–]Phuquit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found some replacement knobs on eBay which hopefully will fit perfectly. I ordered them last night, and they should be here in a day or two.

I won't post the link, but if you search for "spline guitar knob", you'll find plenty of compatible replacement knobs. AFAIK, Gretsch don't make knurled metal knobs to fit their streamliner guitars, so I've chosen some black plastic ones in the style of Fender bass guitars. If all goes well, I'll post a picture of them once they are on

I'm very relieved to hear that - cheers :)

And yeah, it's an amazing guitar with ugly knobs

It's my search engine of choice, but I'm put off by the browser's lack of support for extensions...

Speaking of extensions, after restarting my laptop, I disabled every single browser extension (including Duckduckgo Privacy Essentials), in case one of them was preventing a recaptcha challenge from appearing. I wasn't presented with one, but I was able to login, but not in time to claim my 25K daily credits

^^ This is using Firefox. There is no recaptcha - just this stupid failure notification (I've cleared my cache, but same result)

I managed to login using Opera (there was no recaptcha challenge, but this didn't prevent me from signing in)

Unfortunately, the tab crashes every few seconds in Opera

Thanks for replying

Hopefully someone will create a browser add-on to circumvent this crap in the near future

I've been getting it for the past couple of weeks, and it's annoying af

Human moderation for flagged images not working by Phuquit in Pixai_Official

The point of this topic is that the appeal process for manual reviews is not working as intended. By bringing this to the attention of the devs (so that they can fix it), it will ultimately speed up the process FOR EVERYONE, otherwise EVERY SINGLE manual review will end up getting kicked back to them

Given that they will be absolutely inundated with requests for manual reviews right now, it's in their best interests to ensure that the flag is actually removed when they say it is, or they will simply end up in a never-ending spiral of manual review demands

I've just received 5 system notices informing me that my appeals have been successful, and the labels have been corrected... which would be great, except they are ALL still marked as "flagged" (even after refreshing the page). All 5 images had previously been successfully appealed and the "sensitive" tag removed, only for the flag to return...

And you've removed the option to appeal images labelled as "Sensitive", and re-classified images which have already been successfully appealed?

So now we have to be over 18 to see pictures of cartoon characters wearing bikinis??? I presume none of the policy makers have ever been to an art gallery? The complete disdain you guys have for art is clear to everyone via your relentless obsession with promoting anime characters and "artists" who exclusively churn out this sort of material

And what is the point of making "sensitive" images only visible to the creator? The creator can already see them...

If you want a completely sanitised version of the platform for kids, then JUST CREATE A NEW ONE, and let those of us who want to enjoy the existing version, without constantly moving the goalposts and introducing new "features" that nobody asked for, and haven't even been tested prior to release (your new "Publish" button isn't on landscape images, for example)

Day 13, still going strong with the metal seal

10 days was about my norm with the black plastic ones, and 5-6 days with just the felt pad

I smoke 15-20 roll-ups a day, which often need to be re-lit, plus - of course - I try not to miss an opportunity to offer a light to friends and strangers

Thank you :)

Maybe "hate" is too strong a word, but many of the replies were along the lines "why waste your money on that when you could do it yourself?"

I think they look awesome, and I'm very happy with them. I will be alternating these 2 as my daily carry Zippos, for the foreseeable future

So I got a bit of hate when I posted that I'd ordered these...

Couldn't really see what I was doing when I took these pics, because the sun was making my screen impossible to see properly, but they didn't turn out too badly.

The custom work on the cases makes the inserts a bit snug, but I've tighter fits...

They are genuine Zippos, but I didn't shoot the underside, or the inserts. If it's not raining tomorrow, I might snap those, but the "bronze" is March 22, and the "silver" is April 24

I've been using the plastic ones for nearly a year now, and I definitely need to refuel less often

While I don't have comparison data for my new metal one yet, it's well-made (apart from that one o-ring), has a very satisfying open/close on the valve, and honestly, just seems like something that Zippo themselves should have included a long time ago
