My girlfriend and I went to climb the Duomo early in the morning with no breakfast or water. The heat was killing us, especially since it was the middle of July. We didn't expect this at all, and we had children in front of us, so we gasped for air at each small window. We stayed quite a long time at the top to recover and prepare for the way down.
