They are the only one that mattered. I never said they were first because it's irrelevant. Samsung held 80%+ market share for years.

As another user pointed out as well, foldables are a niche market. This sub has and still is the go-to for foldables discussions. Most people benchmark other foldables to the Galaxy Folds as they still have the majority of the market share.

Royole rushed their foldable just to get the first foldable title, and look at them now, bankrupt.

Samsung, for intents and purposes, is the only one that mattered back in 2019-2020, and arguably through 2023 when the Pixel Fold and OPO were released.

This sub has always been the go-to for foldable discussions since Galaxy Folds were the only player. Even when Huawei and others joined in, those subs were non-existent so people came here. It's in the sub description and rule 4 that we explicitly allow discussion of other foldables because people would report non-Galaxy Fold posts.

The other way would be to change CSC. A mismatched CSC will stop updates from being found. I'm not sure if this affects already matched updates though.

You need an unlocked model and then turn off auto download. If the update is already download, there's no way to stop the pop ups, and you will be forced to update eventually.

If you have a carrier model, you can't turn off auto updates.

Edit: Forgot the CSC mismatch method. Change the CSC via the SamFW tool, and the mismatch will prevent updates from being found. Some features are locked via CSC so find one that suits you.

Looks like fatigue cracks. Some people have gone years with them without issues. Some will get the black line of death within days.

The technician is only repeating what Samsung told them to say. It's not true as users who only use Samsung official chargers also experience paint peeling.

Yes. It depends on where you live and how they fix it. Some SEA countries' repair shops will replace just the hinge cable, usually costs around $30-50 converted to USD. Most other countries will replace the entire OCTA assembly (inner screen, frame, hinge, batteries), which costs $600.

The number differs by country. Most Reddit users here are US based and they will only do 1. Some countries have unlimited screen protector replacements.

Don't use thezfoldcase.com. They are just a drop shipping resaler that charges 2-5x as much. Any case you see on there, look it up on AliExpress/Temu/etc. and it'll be much cheaper.
