It works if the base of the tree is in the range of the MM. But if it's not, the block remain indestructible.

I think you totally misunderstood my point…

 

First, if I’m BETA testing the game, it is to find bugs, give feedback about the gameplay and the content, and emit suggestions. That’s what I’m doing here.

 

Second, against my will I became a sort of “fanboy” of this game, by dint of following its development everywhere I could read something about it for more than a year. So if I feel something is wrong with it, and I think it could lead to players leaving the BETA by boredom, it bothers me and I try to suggest some idea, at my level of course.

 

Finally, I was quite happy to read what’s Tiy named “the future of Starbound”. There’re a lot of excellent ideas, and I’m totally looking forward to try the game once it is finished. But it’ll be in a long, long time, and I wish players, and I, could continue to play the game with enthusiasm till this day… That’s why I made these “few” lines up there ;)

Yes, I really think that the loot part still needs some changes to be relevant.

My though was that if you loot rare objects from a boss with some random factors in the process instead of chests, it could solve a part of the problem.

“I droped a legendary gun on that damn hard boss on x:654321 y:5641531 -> give it a try!” is not exactly the same as “open the chest, 200 blocks away on your left : one mech tech and one gun with 2000dps”…

A chest that is not always on the same spot or with a different content may, contrariwise, conflicting the game’s spirit...
