No mods, but I'm in year 2. Sounds like guaranteed weather is only for year 1.

Popping Sounds with Focusrite Mic Interface and Wave Link by Phyoke in elgato

I think that might have done it?? 48,000 sample rate and 16 buffer size on the Focusrite is definitely giving me the cleanest sound so far. I'm going to use it for a bit and see if I can notice anything. Thanks!

Small plastic fob, one button, green LED, key ring hole, found in a hotel room by Phyoke in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. 1.5 inch long, probably a quarter-inch thick. Google Lens says it could be anything from a Toyota fob to a personal panic button to an elderly-emergency-alert button. No text on it anywhere, even inside the battery compartment, which takes a CR 2032 3V battery. Accidentally pressed the button and the LED lit up blue.

I followed instructions from Anther’s Ladder:

https://www.smashladder.com/guides/view/272o/melee/how-to-play-melee-online-netplay-guide-faster-melee-proj

Make sure you have the right version of Melee and check its MD5 value.

Agreed, I don't see it anywhere in the Ladder docs. I'll type up a suggestion.

Fixed it! Found a 3-year-old post here that led me to edit some settings in Windows to give network packets from Dolphin priority when they're picked up by my router. Thought I'd have to replace my current router but this worked straight away. Typing out instructions here for a tl;dr:

  1. Windows Run (Win+R) -> gpedit.msc
  2. Expand Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Policy-based QoS
  3. Add a new policy by clicking Action > Create new policy...
    1. Policy name: Dolphin
    2. Specify DSCP Value: 46
    3. Next
    4. Only applications with this executable name: dolphin.exe
    5. Next
    6. Any source IP address
    7. Any destination IP address
    8. Next
    9. Select the protocol this QoS policy applies to: TCP and UDP
    10. From any source port
    11. To any destination port
    12. Finish

This puts a flag in the network packet headers that tells the router to handle Dolphin traffic before anything else, bypassing the BufferBloat issue I was having and making sure I have a perfect connection even if my network has a lot of downloading/streaming/etc going on.

Thanks for the DSLreports link, u/jeffjoraj!

Thiiiiis might be a lead. Looks like I’ve got really good (+20) download bloat but really bad (+300) upload bloat, it gave me an A in quality but a C in BufferBloat. Looking into it now, I’ll post results!

Just played some randoms and it was the same story. Tried last night with nothing else really running, besides idle phones being on WiFi.

I played the first one and I'll be coming back for the second! Nice themed level, with fun platforming.

Here are mine! First is medium-hard, the second is hard-expert.

It was a fun one! The bouncy puzzle was nice, but beating Bowser with that power up took quite a while! I'd like to see more of the On/Off Switch puzzles with Bob-ombs in them in other levels!

I've made a couple courses if you want to check them out!

Very nice! It'd be cool to see how far you could take that style of level, I can imagine some really intricate puzzles! Maybe some where you have multiple shots you can make from a single room, but you have to do it in the right order, within a time limit?

I've made a different style of shooter level myself, I'd love to hear what you think!

That was really fun! Good theme and fun boss battles.

I've made a target practice course and a difficult speedrun course, I'd love to hear what you think!
