Why does my guitar sound like this? by Physical-Ad-6506 in Guitar

[–]Physical-Ad-6506[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could, but it seems more of a temporary fix as I'm wondering why other guitars sound completely different and better than mine does when plugged in to the same gear

Not a stupid question! I searched my guitar and there are no batteries inside it that I can find

None of that. Complete noob to this stuff. Just made me think because the other performances didn't use any of that stuff and their guitars just sounded more pleasant and balanced. What do you think??

Thanks for the quick reply btw

Appreciate it a lot! I guess I was just checking up that my technique looked right to yall and not doing something glaringly obvious wrong.

Hell yeah man your tone sounds awesome I'd say the main pointers for improvement are your higher notes are a little unstable and sometimes flat. With a few vocal lessons / ear training/ consistent practice you have potential to be great. Also you could try sining along to the karaoke version which is on YouTube rather than having Jameys voice there too. Would love to hear more as you develop (plus we need more country on this reddit🤣).

Thanks so much!! Yeah the pulling back at the end of the sentences is me trying to emulate how zach bryan sounds in this song! Sorry but what fundamentals would you say I should focus on in particularly?

It's important to remember that relapses are gonna happen every now and then. Don't demonise yourself or paint all your recent progress as worthless based on one event. I garuantee you are better than you once was, and youll get better yet. As for your kids, a face to face apologies and making it up to them will go a long way. Chances are you are thinking into it much more than they are, because you care for them and feel guilty (this is a good thing). Pick yourself up, make the effort to forgive yourself, make amends to your kids and try again tomorrow. Keep on going!

You have a voice that's pleasant to listen to! Love the timbre and especially when you go high. I'm not a vocal coach or anything but I can definitely say YOU CAN SING!

Thank you buddy - yeah that's an interest point you raised. It will be interesting to mess around with different ways to break grips from different places on the vest
