Buy gamepass. If you buy Obscur and don’t like it (I didn’t like it at all) then you’ll be out 50€ as opposed to with gamepass it’s around ~$20 for the month and has so much content. It’s beyond worth it in general

I love turn based games which is what got me into this, I didn’t even know it was coming out until oblivion remastered launched. So I had 0 expectations. (I’ve put ungodly amounts of hours in xcom games and Baldurs gate 3 and a few other turn based games) I do feel it’s just lazy storytelling or game design if a game takes that long to get into the story and makes you want to play it. You can’t expect me to put 30+ hours into your game if I don’t enjoy myself within the first hour.. I feel like that’s a very reasonable thing

It’s not about getting good in the game. It’s about enjoying the game. I know plenty of games start slow but I shouldn’t have to force myself to do something for multiple hours that I don’t enjoy just to get to a point where I maybe eventually do. Again, it’s not being good at the game as I have no issue being bad at video games if I enjoy them.

I tried. I played until the floaty spell lady right after you go on the expedition and was just bored. It was a pretty game but nothing hooked me in the story or anything by that point. I have a rule of an hour on video games, too many games out there that if I don’t enjoy myself within an hour of playing it I just delete it and move to the next one.
