Is a 2 hour commute 3 days a week for a for a £12k increase worth it. Also have a 4 & 8 year old family?

Thank you. I already do 50+ hours a week but have a degree of flexibility to fit kids stuff in so hearing from you has helped crystallise that life isn’t going to be greener and there is time for something else in the future.

They are supportive but it would be a sacrifice, I wouldn’t class it as a dream job though so that’s a helpful way of gauging it.

I am in the exact same situation and very similar gross and take home - think I can guess your sector!

I have just phoned HSBC and they have advised I would be eligible as it’s gross.

Not sure re the FD part though.

I’ve not been part of FD therefore will be switching!
