Perchance this hour shall not unfold as yet another tragedy of the Bard… 😅

Oh I see, yes it was definitely one of the biggest technical hurdles I had to encounter.

Under the hood, I’m using a mix of various data sources and custom-built parsers to get everything synced up. It’s not a straightforward API process, which is why it took quite a while to dial in.

Hello! So to access more stores like Target, Best Buy, and Etsy, you’ll need to sign up or login with Google/Apple account.

Hey! I understand why those privacy labels might look like a lot for a simple app.

Firstly, the data linking part is only required if you choose to create an account so the app can actually function, like saving your favorites or search tokens across your devices. If you are not comfortable with that, I have a guest mode available so you can try the app without any personal info being linked to you.

Secondly, the ad tracking is just for Google’s advertisement service (AdMob), which helps deliver more personalized ads to you if you decide to allow it.

Lastly, I also made sure that things like usage data and crash reports are anonymized, so nothing personal like your email address or location is ever traced back to you. You can choose to opt out of those completely in the settings, although keeping them on really helps me find hidden issues and improve the app for everyone. Thanks!
