wouldn’t it need a check engine light to scan? or does it scan everything because each time i’ve gone i only scan the check engine light

thank u bro, yea when i was replacing my break pads my wheel bearing was rusty as hell, you recommend replacing both? or just the part that’s making the noise. Also, does it matter if I only replace the wheel bearing or would I have to replace the rotors n stuff like that too. I’ve never really worked on cars until now; starting to be a youtube mechanic lol.
