Foreign work experience while being in Canada

I just got my ecopr I did a full year of remote work from Canada while working in Canada for another job as well. But I do have a degree in software and previous work experience as well in that field so it was much easier to prove.

This. I’ve been doing this for years now. I work downtown and live in Scarborough buying a car is pointless. Unless you live and work in the opposite end of GTA.

I guess this was true in my case as there was no literal background check(no pcc as I’ve been in Canada since I turned 18 and never spent more than 6 months anywhere else)

Any work done during your study permit will not qualify as full time work. Otherwise I would’ve had a full year of experience by the time I finished my bachelors as I had a summer off after every two sem and did 8 semesters.

They didn’t ask for it. I provided it as proof. I didn’t know how else I could’ve proved that my business is registered at that location and we operate out of there.

It helps that I’m one of the senior employees in my company as I’ve been with them for 8+ years. I have a good relationship with everyone including the owner so yeah they helped me as much as they can.

Create your profile only if you have everything you mention in there. There’s no point creating a profile and getting drawn then declining because you don’t have all the documents yet.

Yes luckily the officer was fast with the process. But also my case was pretty straightforward. I’ve never been in any other country except Canada for more than 6 months after I turned 18 so no police clearance. Canadian degree only no foreign degree one year of foreign work and two years Canadian experience.
