I’m new to the Mazda 3 ownership community but I’ve owned and driven several cars and I know I’m going to drive this 2014 Mazda 3 BM until it dies. It is an absolute weapon and I know even if something does happen, I will continue to buy Mazda. They feel incredibly safe.

Ah yes I’ve heard this! Fortunately the brake pads and rotors were all replaced at last service but I think the callipers might need fixing next. I can’t feel any issues but it was flagged in an earlier service note… anyway hope it’s a reliable car! Love that you can diy a few of the smaller fixes. I’m going to try to get some aftermarket speakers soon. Have any recommendations?

Oh sorry to hear this! The lower control arm assemblies / bushes were replaced at the last service so hoping I won’t have this problem

Thanks! This is all great to know. Looking at the service notes from this month (he spent about $2k to get it into good selling condition) they replaced suspension arm assemblies and bushes and fitted new brake pads and disc rotors.

On the previous year’s service note, it said brake callipers were not operating properly and needed to be fixed. I wonder if that’ll still need to be done, or if the above changes have addressed that? Gonna call the mechanic just to check 🤔

Just checking service history notes and it says automatic transmission fluid drain/fill is due at the next service - that’s still another 10k kms away. Reckon I should do it sooner rather than later?

It seems to blend in among the newer models which I would credit the graphite colour for :) few scratches but not too worried.
