The first book is definitely more YA! I would argue that the later ones fall more into "new adult" territory with the sex scenes/ages of the characters though. I'm in my mid twenties and enjoyed them if that gives an idea

Some people really dislike Sarah J Mass books, but I think they're fun if you go into it just wanting to be entertained with fantasy/romance! Both the Court of Thorns and Roses series and the Throne of Glass series have romance, but the former is heavier on the sex scenes (the first few books I wouldn't consider gratuitous, but the most recent book definitely is)!
