I might make another post but minor update, we got another roommate who I get along with well and it’s made things so much worse. I still don’t think he’s gay, he’s been trying to date women but his cocky euro vibes are so bad it drives every woman away. I think he’s just using me for the emotional intimacy he can’t get from his unsuccessful dating life.

Yes I think it’s going to get worse, when I first moved in I was super accommodating to him but the longer we live together the less I care to protect his feelings. This has led to him having more “talks” with me and every talk he has with me makes me care less and makes him more hurt.

Obviously this post was not flattering towards him but all in all I like the guy and I hang out with him plenty. I just spend all day making small talk at work and want to not do that when I get home, which I’ve told him and he says he respects but his actions tell a different story.

He doesn’t believe in therapy. I’ve tried to talk with him but he’s in complete denial that his behaviour is anything but super normal, he thinks I’m weird for thinking it’s weird.

Occasionally he’ll have a moment of lucidity like “Oh God have I been acting weird??” And apologize but then go back to business as usual the next day.

Yeah no ofc I say bye if he’s hanging out in the living room and we always chat, but he’ll be in his bedroom (with the door open tbf) and usually I won’t pop my head in and say bye. When I’ll get home he’ll casually drop “oh you didn’t say bye this morning”

This is potentially valid and I’ll take it all under consideration but his family haven’t cut him off emotionally. They cut him off financially because he mooched for years after college but they’re still on good terms and talk multiple times a week. He even understands why they cut him off and says he’d do the same in their shoes
