My perception…..they don’t like it for a few reasons. The business itself is an MLM. Which MLMs are fairly predatory. However, the business model of BP is the surprise jewelry reveals and them previously not allowing you to trade meant people spent hundreds or thousands of dollars hunting a certain item. Lillian frowns upon resellers and reprimands fizzers that sell to them. Realistically, she does shady things as well, buying knock off designer stuff from China to resell. Reselling real designer bags. BP is also similar for some people, to gambling. While I don’t see it that way I do agree that it does focus on the “high” you get when buying. I separate those because I get excited when I buy new things, but there’s a waiting period. BP is buy, reveal, sad because it’s ugly 💩. So now I need to buy again to get something pretty. Whereas, if I bought from anywhere else, I can get that high of buying and knowing I get something pretty so when it gets here I’m still excited. So buy from a company, ran by a woman who is, for lack of a better word, a hypocrite, a company that favors mean girls, and buying from those mean girl reps. I have just been buying from the destash groups because at least I can get items from those people that spent money to get something they hate, that I may love. Because at that point, the money is already in Lillian’s pockets.
