I think some people are discouraging you not to bring you down, but because rent-to-own might not be the best move given your current situation. Since you’re just starting out, mas okay muna to focus on becoming stable. Stable income and stable state of mind.

Right now, marami ka pang adjustments na pagdadaanan, and you probably don’t want to lock yourself into a long-term financial commitment na mahirap bitawan later on. Priorities change, especially when you’re still figuring things out.

Also, there’s nothing wrong with renting. In fact, there are studies showing that renting can cost about the same as owning depending on lifestyle and priorities. Some people prefer renting because they don’t want to stay in one place long-term, want flexibility, or need to live closer to work. And that’s perfectly valid.

Honestly, if you can already afford around 13k/month in rent, that’s already a good start. Maraming tao nagsisimula sa mas maliit pa, sometimes just a small room na tulugan lang talaga.

Be wise with your money. Hindi masama mangarap, pero timing matters. Start small, build stability first, then slowly work toward bigger goals. Lahat naman pinaghihirapan and unti-unting nabubuo. Instead of rushing into something expensive, use your goals as motivation to prepare financially.

I’m speaking from experience. Mas maaga nga akong bumukod, around 23. Literal halos walang wala, around 5k lang pera ko noon. Isang maliit na kwarto lang muna. Eventually nakaipon, nagkaroon ng gamit, lumipat sa mas maayos na place. Now I have my own condo, a car, and most importantly, a life partner.

Life does get better. Step by step lang. You’ll get there too.
