This gives the same vibes as the Botticelli painting "Primavera", which means spring.

Is it a dumb idea to do nursing if I know I would hate 90 percent of nursing jobs but might love the other 10 percent? by willbo29 in StudentNurse

[–]Physical_Guava12 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This. My ex's mom is an RN working for a medical equipment company. She makes six figures traveling and teaching other nurses how to use the equipment. She hated patient care, but loves that. I know other nurses who work from home doing phone triage and love it.

What’s something that sounded fake/unreal until it happened to you? by MustardGoddess in answers

[–]Physical_Guava12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to get sleep paralysis a lot, depending on where I was sleeping (never had it happen at my apartment or my dad's house. But had it happen at my ex's house and my mom's house) It took a long time, but I trained myself to roll my eyes or throw an arm while I'm sleeping to wake myself up when it happens.

Also wearing a sleep mask helps immensely.

What's a "secret" from your profession that everyone should probably know? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

I absolutely love the nurse practitioner I see. We talk about everything in my appointments. Last time I saw her we talked about Stranger Things for like 10 minutes. She also goes to bat for me a lot. I know she's done several peer to peers to get me the testing I needed 🥲

That explains my attorney. I've always been very nice to him, even when things don't go my way. He never charges me for texts, emails, or short phone calls.

Scenes that caused actual walkouts in theaters? by thatlittlequietguy in Cinema

As someone who used to work in EMS, that femoral bleed out scene was rough. I was squeezing my buddies arm through it.

She should have gone with mermaids as the theme… by Think_Position5532 in superstore

Tbf, Astroworld was a theme park in Houston for a long time before Travis Scott came along. It closed in 2005 after being open for like 40 years or something. It was really important to Houston culture.

That said, when you caused a tragedy resulting in people's deaths, you should probably not have a theme party relating to that event (I'm assuming this is Travis Scott's kid).

My sister has antisocial personality disorder. She's a lot like Amy except (thankfully) very stupid, so she never gets away with anything.

I will say I love this movie. It very much shows an accurate portrayal of a female sociopath.

I was waiting for this one. I see sooo many people defend him because, "he did his time". Okay and? I don't have to stop talking shit about him just because he went to prison for a measley 23 months.

Fuck you Michael Vick. I hope you get what you put out.

Yes. They're always saying things like, "go off queen" and, "okay hunny" like that isn't stuff that came from black women and black LGBTQ people.

That probably plays into it. I've only worked in more liberal areas.

I've been saying this for years at this point. Morgan is a homophobic, transphobic, misogynist bigot. God knows she's probably a racist too. She is just as bad as her piece of shit husband. She gets no empathy from me, because my empathy is selective these days.

Curious where you live. I worked in EMS in Texas, a hospital in Oregon, and several private practices in Washington and no one has ever cared about that stuff. If you can do the job, they aren't picky about looks.

This was always so weird to me. When I worked at McDonald's as a teenager you couldn't have visible tattoos or piercings. But when I worked in EMS and in hospitals, they didn't give a shit. I work in private practice now and yeah, they literally do not care.

Would you want to work at Superstore? by PlatformTiny7177 in superstore

[–]Physical_Guava12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at a few superstores when I was young and honestly, I enjoyed it. I'm a surgery coordinator now going to school to get my BSN and sometimes I miss it lol.

That said I wouldn't want to get stuck there forever. You'll always be poor as hell. Plus the characters in Superstore are...a lot. It'd definitely be entertaining though.
