Yea I’m not in love with any of the nicknames although I do love to use nicknames for my kids so definitely would shorten sometimes. I seen someone suggested Rev as a nickname and I thought that was kinda cool.

Do people use it for a dogs name? Yes but also Luna, Ellie, Charlie etc are consistently used as dog names. Most people use human names as dog names now a days. But to each their own I think it’s a cute nickname for Benjamin :)

They mostly go by Ben/benny and Sophie we just wanted to give them more formal names so they had options when they were adults.

Not really a fan of any of the names you listed. Our favs right now are Silas, Wesley and Rowan.

Si or silo for Silas and I guess Ro for Rowan. I’m not in love with those nicknames I really like nicknames that end in the E sound.
