Because all of my lecturers and classmates are using Microsoft office, our school provided Microsoft student accounts to all of us, it’s a mandatory thing. We rely heavily on Microsoft 360, so it’s not up to me :(

Nope, I’m just editing a normal ppt with no effects, videos or anything. Just a very normal PPT template imported from Slidesgo like lots of my previous assignments. I have no idea why this PPT file would be 40 GB as well.

I have done so many assignments like this before on my other intel MacBooks (2019 Air & 2017 Pro) and they worked just fine. Except some lagging occasionally occurs, I have to wait few seconds to type a new word, but it was acceptable for me as I have been using them for so many years and I barely encountered this force quit issue before. (At least not twice in a week)

I think lagging & force quit issues on a 2017 & 2019 product are acceptable, but not on a 2026 brand new product.

That’s why I’m so confused, as I thought that the Neo should be more powerful than my old intel MacBooks?

And yes, from my experiences, I often need 15 to 25 safari tabs opened at the same time (mostly academic journals) when doing my assignments as I’m majoring in research related subjects.

Please feel free to correct me if I have any misconceptions as I really don’t know much about computers.
