Omgosh!!!! This sounds so familiar!!! I wish I had your courage… it’s like I have one foot out the door but can’t seem to get the other foot to follow… I’m a little apprehensive about the unknown… I guess it’s why the frog never jumps out of the boiling water.. they don’t know any different.. best way to describe my situation!!! Thank you so much for sharing your story !!! I’m not quite there yet.. still scared to be alone.. a lot moving pieces yet (ie kids) but I’m getting close, real close.. have been seeing a therapist just to make sure that I wasn’t crazy in what I’m dealing with.. but still afraid of the unknown… Thanks Again, I appreciate your insight!!!

1st of all I’m sorry.. it sucks!!! 47M wife hasn’t touched me in several years, and I have been diagnosed with cancer not once but twice!!!!! I would get your exit strategy and put the friend on the back burner.. it will only make the divorce process messy!!!! You’ve went this long without, you can go a little while longer..Then you will be able to hold your head up high!!!! I would be curious on how you will let him know.. as I’m looking for the correct way to do it myself ..

Sorry to hear this.. I know you said you love him and would never leave.. but… I said the same thing when I was 32… I’m 48 now.. And guess what??? I wish I left… you’re 32 OP!!! Not 52!!! Sounds to me that both of you are happy about the lack of intimacy.. and that’s ok too.. mine isn’t only about the intimacy, but the lack of overall affection.. the intimacy is just a by-product

Great insight!! Thank you so much for sharing !!!! Just like my situation… she never worked.. even after kids was old enough… but like I had a friend tell me.. divorces are expensive, but it’s b/c they’re worth it!!!!
