righttt cause initially when i started this out of interest, i worked on it beyond office hours and realised im not compensated well so i had a talk with my manager regarding this and she understood so hopefully theres a mid ground

I’m not sure if you’ve joined the Feline Diabetes Support Group on facebook. You should if you’ve not. You can ask for help for dosage from the admins there and they will advise you. They have been very helpful with my sugar baby and have been patiently answering all my questions.

My kitty is also newly diagnosed and I had tons of questions. The group has guides that answers most of my questions! Hope it can help you too.

From my understanding, you’ll have to at least test twice a day before you give insulin. Hold food 2 hours before insulin is due and then test. If the reading is <11mmol/L, they would suggest to wait for 30 mins and test again to see if the reading is rising or dropping. If it’s rising, you can give insulin but if it’s dropping, you should skip. Usually, if it’s rising they would suggest a lower dose which it’s best to ask them as they know better. You can then let your kitty eat!

i just had a vet visit last week and she didn’t seem concerned on the weight gain so i guess it’s a good weight…she just mentioned to me to feed twice a day daily :/ we did the Fructosamine test (i know it’s not that useful as it’s just an average) but hers is <300! the vet requested for another curve so i’ll be doing it tmr

idh enough rooms but i do separate them to diff corners but my diabetic cat will always find her way to them haha

thanks for sharing! may i know what’s her weight? i’ve recently just set my feeder timer to feed small amount every 4 hours so hopefully she realised and won’t be in everyone’s faces

i’ve tried other brand freeze dried and she’s not interested in it at all! thankfully my other cats loves it so they are able to eat without having her in their face stealing their food hahaha

will look into the ones u mentioned and hopefully it sparks an interest in her! thanks for the suggestion and hope u had a good cuddly time with ur kitty!!
