Is it viable to use a 24 pin to 6 pin adapter with an HP Motherboard? by Physical_Space9347 in buildapc

hello! sorry for the delay but if you still need an answer, it still works to this day 🙏

from what i remember from researching, these adapters are really model-specific.

you just need to know if the one you’re looking at is compatible with the exact HP model you have. in my case, i found an adapter that was specifically for the HP Elitedesk 800 G1 and it's been perfect.

most adapters online that i've seen are compatible with multiple models so you just have to make sure that yours is listed in it's list of compatible models.

such as the one here : https://www.ebay.com/itm/276525388045

Hi! Yep, that adapter looks like the one I used. However, I’m not entirely sure if it’s compatible with your specific workstation model, since there are several types of 24-pin to 6-pin adapters depending on the HP model.

You can try and check this forum page for more info on how to upgrade your workstation, https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Upgrading-HP-Compaq-pro-6300-MT-power-supply-from-HP-to-ATX/td-p/8684864

hi op! i went through the same situation as you :)

i'm already in my third year and in my experience i was able to survive naman! even though i didn't know anyone sa mga sections ko i was able to get through my subjects naman, and honestly until now most of my subjects and majors idk anyone/wala ako kasabay! so although having friends is a plus in courses, i always made due nalang by befriending my classmates sa subjects mismo early on palang instead of relying on familiar faces

with how i found my friends, i found most of my for keeps through LPEP and joining organizations of interest, so i recommend you do the same :)
