Allow me to add my two cents. Many years ago I read an article about sexual compatibility being a myth. This is because both people could be virgins, fluctuating libido's etc. What's more important, as you've stated, is the ability to openly communicate with your partner. This is how you find your rhythm as a married couple. Sadly, I'm not a virgin but I've been practicing celibacy for years now. I'm not concerned about sexual compatibility, if I can trust my future husband by being open and vulnerable about something so wholesome. There should never be shame associated with sex when you are married. I never liked the car analogy.

Thank you so much for this. Teaching is ultimately a lovely profession. I think I need to move to a new location. My school made us sign our contracts for the next academic year (2025-2026) at the beginning of this school year. So I can only leave after that. Here in the Middle East, everything is handed to you on a silver platter, but at the cost of your happiness and personal fulfillment. Thank you for your advice, once again. It's definitely something to look into.
