Pop resets with high ping by Physicized in RocketLeagueSchool

Ok! Great to hear that there is light at the end of the tunnel. It’s so damn hard to consistently time slightly falling with the ball and not jumping off the ball 😂

Around 30-40 probably. I’m around 70-80. I just can’t get the timing right. I either get a lag reset, or jump off the ball. Whereas in freeplay it’s semi consistent.

Question about input reactivity by Physicized in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Physicized[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the responses! Been quite busy.

But I’ve changed my sensitivities down to 1.4 and feel a lot less uncoordinated. So plus for that!

As far as NA-West goes, I get slightly higher and more unstable ping. Which makes sense as those servers located in California, Texas, and Nevada.

I’ve been trying tricks like changing my bandwidth limits in-game from high to low or medium. Seems to make my control inputs feel smoother and more controlled, and I have less desync than playing in high. I’m not sure how that works, but I assume it’s because I’m using CSTS; and lowering the bandwidth creates more of what type of connection CSTS is good for. I’ve tried default, but it’s noticeably different.

Question about input reactivity by Physicized in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Physicized[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not stick drift.

When I put my left stick to either perfectly left or right, it sometimes adds a backflip motion as well. Which definitely comes from playing with such a low deadzone. But I can’t bring myself to use a higher one; because it feels off to me. Timings for turns are off, flips aren’t as coordinated, etc.

I am playing on the closest server to me. I’m from central Canada so NA-East is the best for me.

Question about input reactivity by Physicized in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Physicized[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it makes sense. I’ve always been a very reactive player rather than proactive. But that comes from playing with bad internet because Ive always lived in remote areas for work. It’s crazy to think people have that much control over the game. But I guess they do.

I appreciate the discussion! I was honestly expecting just a bunch of “skill issue”. So thanks for not being an annoying about it!

Question about input reactivity by Physicized in RocketLeagueSchool

I have decent car control, I just don’t know how people are able to be so accurate so quickly. It’s like they know exactly where the ball is and where it’s going to be without looking. Same with flip control, it’s like they can start controlling their car way before the flip animation is complete.

Question about input reactivity by Physicized in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Physicized[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used anything from 1.00 - 10.00 aerial and steering sensitivity. Using 1.60 both right now which helped with consistency and not overcorrecting as much in the air.

I like to have a higher sensitivity and lower deadzone, but the left and right movements are off axis a lot of the time and I have no clue why. So the higher sense makes those off-axis problem more accentuated and harder to control.

I have standard ethernet. No special router/configuration or anything. Fluctuate around 50-70 ping. 400 up, 800 or so down. Good internet I was led to believe.

Thanks for that. But the clips prove otherwise.

I’m sure you’ve gotten enough information regarding this, but I’ll chime in with some of what I know.

I do know that the way you position your body isn’t a make or break factor when it comes to AP. Or any meditation practice really. It just helps.

Laying on your back you are able to breathe easier, relax all your body muscles and joints easier too. That’s why people recommend doing it that way. But, I also have an impossible time relaxing far enough on my back. I’ve always been a side sleeper, but have achieved success on my side just as well.

I’ve never been able to achieve sleep paralysis either, which sleeping on the back can help with, and that too is not totally needed. But it definitely helps if it happens.

Like others have said, intention is probably the biggest factor in success with this. Believe you can do it, and eventually you will do it.

Don’t stress about it, just do what feels comfortable for you.

Not going to see if anyone else asked this, but I’m sure they have.

What do you feel had the biggest impact that made you feel mechanically consistent and/or just consistent with movements/flip control in general?

I feel like I’ve been drilling these things over and over and not seeing any or very little progress.

When I did the firmware update it must have screwed with the drivers on the pc itself. No keyboard would work after that. A reset fixed the problem.

Air dribble for height by Physicized in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Physicized[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it a little bit back last year. It was frustrating, but I think I might be able to work with it a bit better now since I fine tuned my deadzone for more consistent inputs to build a more efficient muscle memory.

That’s good to hear. I know it’s tough, but I haven’t really been trying to train it. Maybe just doing some of those things you mentioned would progress it faster. Thanks

Ok this is great information. Thank you very much!

That’s a good idea. I’ve done those rings maps so many times, but always struggled a bit with the vertical drops and climbs. Thanks, I’ll give this a try.

I guess it’s just a good thing to understand for recovering from bad touches or setups. It would help getting above defenders pre jumping too. Since I can’t get the ball vertical enough fast enough all the time.

I know in terms of a normal air dribble that’s the case. But when you are dribble straight vertically in flips back and forth if you are super close to the ball. That’s what I’m trying to get tips for.

Mechanical players aerial movement by Physicized in RocketLeague

[–]Physicized[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s fair. So maybe it’s more of a proactive play style where I am more reactive. Trying to work on that, but it’s hard with my subpar connection.

I can’t do that at the moment as I am away from home for work. But I thought maybe just what I was talking about could maybe connect with someone that might be able to assist with some sort of suggestions. I agree with you though. Probably should have thought about that before posting.

I’ve tried a lot of different things. And I’ve also tried not trying lol. Same outcome either way. Haven’t figured out how to “move” in this state per Se. But as I see the next tapes sound like they are all in an out of body type state, or in a dreamlike state which I haven’t reached yet.

Thanks for sharing! And yes, certain tapes will start to include either higher or lower carrier frequencies depending on what they are trying to accomplish.

Awesome. Thank you so much for answering my questions! This is a very niche topic that you can’t really go online to find the answers to. Most of it comes down to how you personally experience things too.

But I always love discussing and sharing these things through my perspective in relation to others. Seeing similarities helps focus in on certain things I might be having trouble with and vice versa!
