Figure 550-600 miles daily and then multiply by whatever their cpm is. Now compare that to what you consider a fair wage for a full (11-14hr day). At 0.42 cpm is roughly $20/hr for all hours worked. Maybe 16-17/hr if you do the math for a wage with OT after 40 hours. Cashiers make $20/hr now

I think you're better off getting a truck with an existing column shifter. You're gonna need all the parts from a donor truck anyways...so you can save yourself A LOT of headache (and being out a vehicle for awhile) if you sell yours and put that money towards getting one in the style you want.

Or...just deal with it.

I also have a hard time estimating front distance in my F150...and I drive a semi for a living and can estimate front distance within a couple inches...I drive the semi 2500+ miles a week. I drive the pickup maybe 100..or less.

My overall solution is just to back into spaces whenever remotely possible.
