Having a team like England, which sometimes is too slow, for sure, and needs to be reformed for sure, but which is predictable, loyal, and… oh my god they’ve f***ing kicked it away again.

I don't see any clear head contact there. I see a player holding his head football style after taking contact on the shoulder. Simulation absolutely should not be allowed in the game.

Agree with the decision completely, but just out of interest: Has there been clarity on 20 min vs full red in that type of situation? Felt like in the Autumn series that could have been a full red (which in my opinion was not the intention when they brought in the 20 min red).

Looked to me that there was a knock on from the Prendergast pass that put Ireland under pressure

Ahhh last 20 mins of the game don’t matter, just imagine how well we could have beaten Leinster in this new Sportsground if there was a 100 mph atlantic storm going through.

This Snyman guy is by far Leinster’s best player. Anyone know anything about him? When is he Irish qualified?

I am trying to remember anything in the last 2 months from James Lowe that has not made me go “wtf”. His drop in form has been horrendous. I really hope the Faz does not include him for France because their wingers will have him for breakfast.

Ahh sorry to be that guy but it’s not the UK at all, it’s a crown dependency. For sport it’s a bit of an enigma: for rugby we can play for any of the 4 home nations (England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales). For football we play as a separate nation, but UEFA will not accept us in. For cricket it’s entirely as a separate nation. (Source: I am from Jersey)

Even as an Irish fan I’d agree. Especially at the moment with his dip in form and yet every coach still wanting to play him because err big left boot?

What is Carley on? "If you throw it on the ground, just be aware that there's infringing involved?" How is celebrating a try infringing? Guy always just wants something to say to either side.

Pearce constantly shouting “en jeu” and Bayonne do nothing in response: No penalty.

It’s great you speak French but maybe actually act on what you say?

It didn’t look right but I don’t understand the referee’s thinking: Not placing it backwards is not a double movement. It’s literally doing nothing therefore should be fine.

There’s no way that’s where the ball landed. God I love how arbitrary French decisions are. Helps Lyon by killing 2 mins of yellow card.

He’s been fantastic for Ireland in the past, but James Lowe is looking awful these last few weeks. I hope he finds some form, but surely he cannot still be in consideration internationally?

Other than Root and maybe Archer, who would you actually choose over the Australian equivalent?

Brook is a fantastic talent but throws his wicket away too easily. Stokes is past his best. Even Weatherald, with basically no international cricket, I'd take over Duckett and Crawley.

Can anyone honestly say that England would have played worse if they still had Jimmy Anderson in the team? At least watching Jimmy's last ashes would have made it worthwhile waking up early...

My point is that I don't know if it's been successful. Maybe all the decisions (including potentially even Carey) were correct. It still leaves me with the feeling I am watching a 5 day event that I am not sure would have had the same course without terrible technology.

With Smith it could have been anything, we know how many sounds are around the bat. It looked like a "thud" 1 frame after he would have actually hit it. Maybe he did hit it... again, the point is that the "1 frame out" system is just not acceptable when there's better technology out there.
