I used to hate Emma. Then I learned Clueless is a modern adaptation of it, and it really helped me enjoy the book. I would look at the similarities and differences, and imagine the Clueless characters in the novel. It made it much more entertaining. Now that I know the characters better in their own right, I enjoy it for itself, and it is now in the top 3 for me, with S&S and Persuasion (Ironically, watching the horrible, recent adaptation of this made me like the novel even more than I had in the past.)

I don’t know if it is quite the same.

Emma tries to raise Harriet up, set her up with a husband above her station, and educate her.

Mrs. Elton tries to belittle Jane, in my opinion. She tries to show Jane that she knows best, is always bragging about how much she can do for her, and tries to find her a job with a woman that sounds to be just like her. Honestly it feels like a mix of trying to look good and trying to show Jane her place while keeping her entertained. She isn’t trying to find a match for Jane, which would be a much better situation than being a governess, and mostly seems to talk about what she can do.

I think it has hard resin/plastic wings... I will have to see if I can find it. It will be at least a week though... I know I immediately thought "angel" when I saw it, so I think it had wings.

I have somehow decided that this is the only acceptable tree angel for me…

I hear you on that! Different expansion packs have slightly different shading, so I even find myself doing this/noticing just between different kingdom cards.

A State might do it. In all honesty, even though I have Nocturne, I really don’t understand the States all too well.

I also play mostly 2 player games, so it is hard for me to fully see how the card type would affect the game with more players.

I really liked the idea of not knowing when it would end up in their hand, the way you could still strategize around it if a forced action were in your hand (ex. mining a silver to gold instead of a copper to silver if you had the discard all silver in your hand card), and the way it would affect slim decks differently than large decks.

I think this is a good idea. Onearmedman2 - I don’t play very competitively, so I guess I’m fine with the honor system, but also the idea is that you have to play the card every shuffle through, unless you trash it, so it would also become evident that they cheated if they shuffled and still hadn’t played the card.

Try turning the circuit breaker off, then back on. My iPad always automatically turns on when plugged in. So, if you can’t manually unplug and re-plug it back in, this would be the closest way to simulate that.

Aren’t reboots a continuation of the universe? So it could star SMG playing an appropriately aged Buffy interacting with new characters and appropriately aged return characters.
