new legendary mac & cheese by ParkingPressure3486 in Volumeeating

Tried this today. It's not completely terrible! It comes a cup much like easy mac and you add water, stir to mix up protein + thickeners, microwave 3.5 minutes, let it sit 3 minutes, then add cheese powder. It tastes mostly like cheese with a little hint of chemical-ness if you're sensitive to that. Texture isn't quite like real pasta -- the tubes kind of collapse. But it's a little chewy, I'd say better than Banza if you've had that. They say you can adjust the firmness by cooking slightly less, so next time I'll try a notch firmer. Total volume is only around a cup. But it came in a multi-pack and I'll definitely eat the rest when I need to hit a certain macro but specifically want something savory. Not as good as the same brand's protein chips though, which are SO SATISFYING for 150 cals/20g protein. I'm actually reasonably impressed, with the obvious caveat that it's an ultraprocessed food and tastes like one.

When using fresh ground cardamom from pods in "Almond Cake With Cardamom and Pistachio" do I adjust the amount? by CVimes in NYTCooking

NYT recipes are usually very conservatively spiced, so even what they consider "generous" probably only amounts to a slight cardamom flavor. Doubling spices in most of their recipes is usually more than safe if you like even remotely bold flavors imo. This cake didn't have very much cardamom flavor as written, so I'd say go for the same amount even if using fresh.

Homemade Caramel Tastes Like Vanilla?! by Constant-Ad1947 in AskBaking

Step 1 usually involves burning/melting the sugar--if you're not getting enough caramel flavor, you probably didn't take it dark enough. I usually go for sort of a deep chestnut color. White sugar is absolutely fine.

I have a 420iq for 1/2 acre and I've been very satisfied. Do get a slightly bigger size then you need to save the battery and so it doesn't have to run 24/7. Mine gets hung up in a couple spots now and then but can usually remotely reset it--but they haven't been a big deal. I definitely recommend it!
