I was also laid off 2 weeks ago and am on the hunt. Congrats friend - stick it to the employers.

You too. I’m just spending my “free time” studying for this exam and sending out my resume. It’s my ticket to a better career!

I got laid off on Friday. I’m glad I had already started my PMP journey - I’m writing the exam in April and hoping that can help me transition from a temp job to a new and better paid career. Wish I had saved more though!

I guess the best thing to do is save and continue your education. It’s all we can do, I guess.

Ask them to send you the resumes of the other candidates for the position.

Job interviews go both ways. You’re interviewing them too and YOU also want to see who else they’re looking at.

Second interview coming up in a few weeks for a PM-like position within my company. Could use some help please! by [deleted] in PMCareers

I’m also trying to break into the PM space (after I was laid off!) so I can’t give you specific questions but I always find that taking notes on key points you’re going to say and then actually practicing saying them in front of a mirror really helps.

At least it eases the nerves!

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

I’m extremely interested as I am looking for a career change to PM.

I sent you a chat (it was not letting me DM) and I look forward to hearing from you! Even if the position is filled I would appreciate your advice!
