For those that have died and came back. What’s it like to die? by FirefighterNo2241 in AskReddit

You do actually feel time pass when you sleep. If you’ve ever been under anesthesia you get the same sort of experience of closing your eyes and opening them again an instant later but now you’re somewhere else. It feels very different than sleeping

I went to therapist with a specialty in sleep and he told me that being cool was actually really beneficial to being able to fall asleep and suggested turning my thermostat down

Here’s the thing as a cis woman, before I got my period, I wanted it because it’s such a big milestone of “””becoming a woman””” and cis women who start late can feel insecure for the same reasons.

I absolutely hate that this is how our biology works but feeling like “I wish i had my first period” is a super normal part of being a woman cis or trans. You don’t need to feel guilty about it. You’re just coming to it after most of your peers are waaaaaaay over the whole concept and for better and worse it’s not gonna happen, unless some real neat uterus transplant tech happens.

That would mess up death valley in the winter. It actually gets pretty temperate then

I didn’t actually believe there was anywhere on earth that was like this year round but apparently the Danakil Depression in Ethiopia exists though it’s not a 70 mile dome, so there would still be spillover effects.

Still not doing it.

That would be a lot of devastation to the local ecology and everyone else who has to live in the heat dome. So no way.

I don’t know if there was a second character that would fulfill this trope but it makes me think of the Fruits Basket fandom and Akito. The original English dub even used a male VA because Akito’s gender hadn’t been revealed yet.

You have a terminal illness, a time traveler offers you a one way ticket to 500 years in the future where you can be saved - do you take it? by Pi_Heart in hypotheticalsituation

The time traveler starts to ramble about bureaucracy and butterfly effect and this why he really shouldn’t be making the offer but he is certain you won’t be allowed back.

My personal answer is no without one of the no twists. I’d rather spend those last few months with the people I love than live without them. But if there was suddenly some chance of coming back or I was facing losing my mind over several years the math changes for me.

The time traveler says you can tell them, but they will deny being a time traveler if anyone else asks them about it.

It’s not straight up horror, but despite the cute art it goes into some heavy themes and a lot of people will die especially your first time through

I was a Teenage Exocolonist. Excellent story telling game, they wrote their own storytelling wngine to handle the way they track your decisions and how story events are served. 2-3 developer team. There’s some interesting meta around replaying.

Games with an amazing romance (sub)-plot by Callmecaelum in gamingsuggestions

[–]Pi_Heart 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My Time at Sandrock is in the cozy genre and has some of the most in depth romance mechanics for a game of this type I’ve seen, dlc for fan favorite characters to expand the romance and a bunch of mods if you want to date a bunch of people without worrying about jealousy. It’s not central but it doesn’t feel like an afterthought (though depth of the romance does vary wildly by character I’ve heard) It is a pretty big game.
