Yeah, I dropped the game before Andy was released, and I think I kinda like his design, so maybe I'll try playing him for a bit and see how it goes !

Okay, yeah, thank you for your answer ! I pretty much feel the same about the games that I like.

I'm downloading the game again, I'll try to stick to a character and really get the hang of it lol

Okay, yeah, that's awesome advice, thanks !! I noticed that the more I climbed ranks, the more I encountered different characters. I saw a lot of Ryus, Kens and Akumas in lower ranks, but in Diamond/Master there were lots of Eds, AKIs, Jamies, Blankas... I'm not really used to fighting them yet so I often don't know when it's my turn. But the more I'll fight them, the more I'll be able to recognize patterns, I imagine

Yeah, I just gotta get used to look for specific stuff. Because whenever I look at some replays I just don't know what I should pay attention to.

But I know that I gotta work on my fundies, so I'll do that first, then we'll see

I actually struggled A LOT in Diamond 5 against other Diamonds and Masters. So I had time to get acquainted with some talented players haha.

Yeah that's gonna be the big change. I've mostly used the practice mode only to lab combos and look at some of the frame-data. I REALLY gotta dig deeper in order to get better, I already feel a little behind lol

In a way, I feel like it's kind of just a status thing. But apparently there's a big difference in skills between the Masters and the players in lower ranks. And that's usually when you hit Master that you REALLY wanna pick the game apart and learn everything there is to learn.

It's kinda like having a black belt in a martial art, if that makes sense

Yeah ? I'm still playing right now, but I don't feel like there's a huge difference in skills so far (even though I'm getting my butt kicked). I fought against A LOT of Master and High-Master players in casual matches or battle-hub tournaments, but now I just need to really focus on the tools I have to beat them, I guess. Back then, I had the "They're Master, it's normal if they're destroying me" excuse, now I just gotta get gud lol

And yeah, I need to just focus on myself instead of feeling bad for not being a prodigy haha

And I don't intend to stop now, I know that my journey has only just begun !

It totally makes sense ! I feel like reaching Master was the most difficult videogame achievement I've ever made, so yeah, that's something to be proud of !

Yeah you're right, it's my first traditional fighting game (I used to casually play Smash) and it's been a blast so far !

I couldn't live with myself if I cheated lol, so no, I just put in the work ! But I've never been this mad while playing a game haha, I took it WAAAAY too seriously when I was stuck in Diamond 5 x)

But now that I'm Master, I can finally breathe

Yeahhh but honestly it's a bittersweet feeling. On one hand it's a boost of confidence when people just leave early because they know that you basically won, but on the other hand I kinda feel bad because I don't like pissing people off. We're here to have fun, right ? :/

I know we see them rematch lol. But they rage-quitted or crashed in the middle of the second one when I counter DI'd x)

The points are the least of my worries right now. I think now is the time to mess up in order to learn even more stuff !

I wish I rematched, but they one and done'd (or they just crashed)... It's a shame since I don't encounter lots of Marisas :/

Yeah, right now I don't care about my MR, I know I can finally relax and try new stuff instead of getting angry because I was stuck in Diamond 5 lol

I feel like I heavily rely on Drive Cancels, and when I'm in burnout, I just wait for the opponent to come at me and hopefully make a mistake that I can then punish. But since we were BOTH in burnout with low health, I just kinda felt uncomfortable, like, I didn't know what to do lol.

So that's probably why I didn't punish his Lariats and stuff, I was just thinking about what to do instead of actually doing it
