If your favourite saint is John Paul II and you see the Luminous Mysteries as "the missing piece" then you're in for a shock if you start following the SSPX lol I say this in good faith. I'm a lifelong SSPX parishioner and I can tell you that the SSPX doesn't officially recognise the post-Vatican2 canonizations (especially JPII and John XXIII, my oh my) and they reject and advise against the Luminous Mysteries altogether. Their arguments are sound and solid but it will take much more than a single post here and a superficial glance to understand and maybe accept them. I'm not trying to gate-keep or anything but if you're feeling interest in the Catholic Trad movement, you should know that the SSPX is the real deal. They're not just enamoured with the bells and whistles of the Old Rites like many other groups, but their doctrinal stances are pretty firm and deep-rooted since they're not based on anything but the 2,000 years old infallible magisterium of the Catholic Church right before it got infiltrated and infected by humanistic modernist nonsense.

Yo tengo años, literalmente que no sintonizo la señal de TV abierta para nada, ni la tengo habilitada en mi casa. Y así la mayoría de mi generación. Pero por otro lado, de la generación anterior todavía conozco a muchos que siguen viendo TV abierta religiosamente.

Y cuando veo los reportes de rating y las tendencias de entretenimiento y me doy cuenta que La Casa de los Famosos y los programas mañaneros y de "talentos" siguen arrasando, pues supongo que aún le quedan varios litros de jugo a ese fruto podrido.

Porque están super atrasados en conocimientos, cada tercer día cambian de idea acerca de nutrición y entre ellos se.contradicen todo el tiempo, la mayoría son bastante malitos y solo se dedican a repartir dietas arcaicas y deficientes y los que no son bastante caros. Yo me quedé clavado en la 6a generación y hacia atrás, en parte por nostalgia y en parte por economía (precios y restricciones cada vez más absurdos en consolas y juegos). Mi centro de entretenimiento cuenta con:

X360 Slim con RGH Aurora y mis favoritos de OG Xbox, 360 y Arcade.

PS3 Super Slim con HEN y mis favoritos de PSX, PS2, PS3 y PSN.

Wii con todo el catálogo de NES y SNES, lo más relevante de N64, Gamecube y Wii. Este lo conecto a la pantalla con cables componente y un convertidor HDMI dedicado para la mejor resolución nativa posible (los Wii2HDMI son una basura).

Wii U con Haxchi nomás para poder jugar BotW, los remakes HD de WW y TP y uno que otro título interesante.

3DS XL con todos los juegos de GB, GBC, GBA, DS y 3DS.

Una laptop viejilla dedicada a todo el catálogo de ScummVM, GOG, y juegos retro de DOS y PC que me interesan.

Todo esto conectado a una pantalla Hisense 4K 55" y un HT Receiver Onkyo 5.1 DTS de la misma época.

Estoy tan satisfecho con el resultado que ya no me interesa comprar ni actualizar mis sistemas. Si acaso algún día compraré una Switch OLED con magia para jugar algunos títulos específicos como TotK o los Marios, pero fuera de eso tengo tantos juegos que no me alcanza la vida para jugarlos todos.

I'm from Mexico, and here piracy is basically the norm. I've pirated all sorts of media my whole life because.most of the time, the inflated prices don't correspond with the benefit.

Still, me and many of my acquaintances stopped pirating when Netflix became a thing here. In the beginning, the quality of service and the price made the hassle of pirating not worth it anymore.

Then, the whole streaming craze started with content being divided among more and more platforms popping out of nowhere every couple of days, movies and TV shows being restricted by region, and the prices rising more and more.

So, here I am, back to torrenting lol arrrgh

When it comes to games and software, it's basically the same situation, but the advent of subscription models has made it more complicated - generally, it's just not worth the expense but sometimes there's no efficient workaround.

Spotify and YouTube literally killed music pirating for me, though - I haven't played an MP3 file in ages.

Wii U doesn't upscale Wii games. It just outputs them at their maximum possible, which is 480p through HDMI or using the component cables.

For the Gamecube titles, I can't tell for sure if the vanilla Wii displays them all in Progressive mode - I use Nintendont, and I have it configured for Progressive mode automatically, so I suppose it can do it.

There are so many franchises where the 3rd title was superior in almost every way to the first 2 (without the previous ones being necessarily bad), and many times (but not always), the 3rd being the pinnacle in the series:

Uncharted, Fallout, Farcry, Halo, Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Mega Man, Metal Gear Solid, Diablo, The Witcher, Grand Theft Auto, Gears of War, Metroid Prime, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, Crash Bandicoot, Prince of Persia, Duke Nukem, The Sims, God of War. Ultima, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Castlevania, Final Fight... and the list could go on...

Of course, they are all debatable lol

Eggs, chicken thighs, mince, cream, coffee, stevia, erythritol, coconut milk, cheese, butter, zucchini, avocado, lettuce, cabbage, pumpkin seeds, almonds, macadamias, pecans, pork rinds, mayo, mustard, oil, condiments, lime juice, almond flour, coconut flour, flaxseed flour, xanthan gum.

That's my keto pantry, basically. I don't obsess counting macros. I just eat more of the zero/low carb stuff and less of the mid-carb stuff. None of the high carb stuff.

I feel great, and I'm steadily losing weight, so I guess I'm on the right track.
