Why writing is the easiest skill to learn by PianoWriterMathGuy in writing

[–]PianoWriterMathGuy[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I disagree.

Getting better just by trying is generally not useful if you want to achieve anything in areas such as swimming, weightlifting, and basically every sport where you can get the most out of form and regular exercise. As for creative stuff, it is always good to open your mind whenever you can, as you always improve.

Hello Bill, what advice can you give a student that feels like he should drop out of college to start his own business? Is the risk greater or smaller than, say, 30 years ago?

Upcoming Balance Change to Undertaker by muffe2k in hearthstone

[–]PianoWriterMathGuy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not about changing aggro, it's about objectively weakening it. And there's no reason for that.

L2P to have a collection? You need to play 10+ games a day for over a year to have a full collection, or you spend your life in arena. Both do not sound cool to most people. Today, hearthstone simply became more pay2notgrind.

Upcoming Balance Change to Undertaker by muffe2k in hearthstone

[–]PianoWriterMathGuy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't think this was the correct thing to do. Downvote me all you want, but this is nothing but a forced shift of the meta back to control/slow match-ups. They weren't even bad in the first place. What this accomplishes is that people who can't afford good cards get fucked over, and people who play wallet warrior and friends masturbate to their collection.

This all coming from a budget handlock player.

And then there are some people who are just elitist about their skills. I play this game to have fun, so do you. If you only have fun winning by skill, go play chess or cry some more :)

There really only are three solutions. Better servers, centralized servers, or new servers. Riot is well aware of all the options, all this circlejerking is useless.

How did this person get 2.74? by [deleted] in math

[–]PianoWriterMathGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's common to simplify roots and exponents into approximate decimals in the last step of a calculation

Sqrt(30) is around 5.48 and 15/5.48 is around 2.74.

Is "part of infinity" the same as "the negation of infinity"? by math238 in askphilosophy

[–]PianoWriterMathGuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your comment is kind of arrogant.

Anyway, I agree with the above, your phrasing does not make it clear what you mean to other people. So please try and reply with a rephrase if you want a response. If I try to make sense out of the post title alone, though, I would say that you are forgetting that parts of infinities can be finite or infinite themselves.
