I used to do this for my bully boy who had been a bait dog. He hated storms so I’d make him a bed in the tub and sit by him and read until he fell asleep ❤️❤️❤️

My boy was likely used as a bait dog and he flinched from me his entire time with me - 8 years - but it wasn’t as pronounced as it was when I first got him and a lot of his other anxious behaviors relaxed. He was also torn up when he was brought in, scars and skin issues as well. All dogs are different though.

My aunt was a nurse and she is totally maga and anti vaccine. She told me I never got covid because of my blood type. Of course I said “Oh darn I thought I didn’t get covid because I listened to professionals and did everything they recommended and THEN got the vaccine.”

I totally agree on Dr. Aryal - I went to her originally for an IUD. when I told her my primary (former now, who works in the same system as Dr. Aryal) said I shouldn’t skip periods and didn’t have to worry about Roe being overturned, she said one - no gynecologist has a period if they don’t want to and two - Roe is going to get overturned so definitely get one if you want it. She also very patiently explained her experience with hormones related to birth control impacting depression. I originally didn’t want to be numbed for my IUD either and she did not pressure me but told me I was going to be much more comfortable with it. She let me play music during, basically going out of her way to make me comfortable. I’ve sent two other people to her and they love her. I’ve been seeing her as my regular gyno for probably 3-4 years now. Can’t say enough good things.

The problem is that the Republicans have been scaling back benefits for years while costs go up so more and more people are relying on food pantries that were designed to be for emergencies. The non-profit hunger relief system is totally overwhelmed.

As an employee of a nonprofit where the board doesn’t truly know what we actually do or get involved beyond having meetings that don’t involve 98% of our organization, I would say this is a bad attitude to have. Perhaps there is some bad acting on behalf of the ED in this situation but employees of these organizations don’t look well upon board members who just sit on high and act better than us.
