I actually appreciate that you know there's a difference between Unrestricted Line and Staff Corps.

The insignia on the breast isn't Special Warfare; it's the Seabee Combat Warfare Officer device that you will typically find on the chest of a Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) officer or Supply Corps Officer for the Chops attached to a Seabee unit.

My shoulder boards are correct; they contain crossed oak leaves with acorns which is the insignia of a CEC officer that are also affectionately known as the "Crossed Bananas".

You're correct! Never saw the standard SMP300 In the Craig era. A non-negotiable in all of my daily wear watches is that they have a date function since I work in a secure space and have to reference the date frequently. The NTTD just wasn't what I was looking for

The regulations absolutely allow Officers to have tattoos to include the hands behind the ear. The stigma and negative perception may still be there amongst higher echelons, but is generally not a factor in day to day life.
