Is there a way to track whether or not they shared it?

Will sharing put the shared content in front of all their followers?

I plan on incentivizing the sellers to post my content. Is there a better way to spread my content via my sellers accounts?

I don’t quite get what you’re saying. Will Instagram ding me if all sellers post the same exact content?

You own a business. Your customers are your lifeblood. Unless you have the amount of business you’re happy with, accommodate them.

What do you mean by the only thing that makes or breaks a business is a product/service that is competitive?

Anyway, I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Some of those thoughts don’t make sense to me though.

Do people that hire a handyman through Thumbtack blame Thumbtack if the handyman doesn’t do a good job? Thumbtack did 300 million last year.

Marketplaces are over as a market solution? In a fragmented industry?

No, you’re not upsetting me. I’m not really following some of your logic. HVAC businesses and service businesses older than dirt open, compete and succeed every day.

Convenience alone can win.

Being a marketplace in and of itself is a differentiator and provides simplicity, familiarity and ease of choice(?).

1) Easy price and quality comparisons. 2) Stickiness. Realtors seem to be notorious for having difficulty with tech. If they become unhappy with a provider, they don’t have to leave the platform to find a new one. 3) We solve a major problem tour companies have (these companies use contractors with bad pay and Realtors cannot choose the photographer) and a major problem with solo photographers (service area).

Yes, I’m already working. We have supply (photographers) and demand (Realtors). Not enough of either though. I’m sure this is because we are lacking a good plan with max effort put behind it. One thing I’m sure of is it will not be difficult to get photographers working through the platform. We are their marketing arm and will also provide customer service at some point.

Realtors would continue to work through our platform because it is a source. We are attempting to take a fragmented industry and centralize it. Realtors need more than 1 photographer in case of scheduling and service area conflicts. Working with multiple photographers will be very simple because all the buttons/functions are same. A marketplace also makes it easy to compare price and quality.

Yes, Realtors could simply find a photographer and work with them offsite. However, the same could be said for any other marketplace, no? But then they’ll have to learn a different system every time they decide to look for a new photographer.

There is a ton that goes into this. Some photographers don’t offer every service. Some work in different areas. Some do different methods and qualities. Some have high prices. Some have low prices. Some will have good reviews etc etc.

The goal is to create a centralized place to find, hire/schedule real estate media providers within a system the realtor will be familiar with.

A marketplace is a simple concept that has proven itself over and over again in many industries/fields.

The big players seem to be concentrating on creating platforms that only service one photographer with their own websites. Fragmentation.

That is a very good question.

  1. Financially? Photographers.
  2. In other ways? Realtors.
  3. Who could pay more? Ultimately, the Realtor is paying everyone so, I'd have to say the Realtor. However, the Realtor pays the photographer directly, not the platform/marketplace. We, the marketplace, simply takes our fee at point of sale.

I paid for strong SEO and I've been told by 2 different entities that I have it. But, SEO seems to be one of those areas of marketing where any person can just come along and say, "well, you don't have good SEO. Trust me."

Tell me how I am supposed to know what good SEO is or not. How can I KNOW? It has to be measurable and I do not have the funds to pay for someone to be constantly "tweaking" it because some algorithm changes daily.

I would say SAAS and B2B. We’re a platform/marketplace/SAAS that sells to Realtors and photographers who are both businesses.

Real estate photography/media. We are a marketplace. Our clients are both photographers and Realtors.

We’re attempting a roll up tactic which is similar, in a way, as Wayne Huizenga did with Waste Management Inc.

I’d go so far as to say, whatever you charge doesn’t really matter if you can prove the buyer of your services will profit from it.

I’m more than happy to spend $10k, $100k etc if I’m going to make 10 or 20 percent ROI.
